WHY SOMALILAND SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED

LEGAL ISSUE

In international legal terms Somaliland and somalia are two different neighboring countries.   According to AU CHARTER African boundaries are those existed at the colonial period

HISTORICAL ISSUE

For centuries  Somaliland and somalia were historically different countries with different entities, with different colonial rule and with different day of independence

HUMANITY ISSUE

 Somaliland declared  regain its 1960 sovereignty back in 1991.  The regime of Somali Democratic Republic (united countries from Somalia and Somaliland) where all major decision makers are from Somalia( the president, Vice President ,prime minister, all army commanders ) executed more than 500,000 somaliland civilian, one of the severe human  massacre on earth

Power sharing

Since the post independence and unity of the two neighboring countries in 1960 Somalia ,one of the two united entities which formulated the Somali republic has chosen  its sole unilateral option to get the president, the prime minister, the army commanders, and almost all important portfolio officers . For Somaliland there is no option ,but to regain its sovereignty and rebuild their nation .

FAILURE OF THE GREAT SOMALIA

The unity of Somaliland and Somalia was a part of vision to create a great Somalia, by uniting all Somali ethnic group in the Horn of Africa.under 1 country with the five star flag. This dream has aborted.partly because of international and  regional opposition, but mainly to the immediate failure due to lack of coherence, justice,and fairness by the first two united entities of Somaliland and Somalia

CONSTITUTIONAL ISSUE

Somaliland is constitutionally different country from Somalia. It's people voted for sovereign country for referendum held in 2001, 

POPULAR CONSENSUS

 Somaliland Nation ,including all its different constituents, regions ,clan elders, sultans, intellectuals ,and political leaders decided to  declare regain of their sovereign somaliland country  in 1991.

GOVERNANCE AND SECURITY

 Somaliland enjoys peace ,democratic with elected governing institutions.While Somalia  is in a state of anarchy, insecurity .somalia needs to be rescued . Somaliland merits  to be rewarded for recognition by international community.

SOMALILAND GOAL

  Somaliland want to be a good neighboring ,cooperative with their brothers from Somalia ,but not to share  with the failed tested unity.
